Couples in Transition meetings are a safe, supportive environment for both of you to talk about the transition issues which are challenging to your relationship.
You are not alone in the struggles you may feel the transition brings to your relationship. It really does help to talk with others who share those struggles, and to hear about what has worked for others.
Regular meetings help us stay up-to-date with each other, and we encourage contact outside of meetings for support and friendship. We also have social events occasionally.
We follow a simple group format to help stay focused on transition/relationship issues, and to ensure that everyone has time to share. Group guidelines help construct the privacy and safety that allow us to be genuine and honest.
Group meetings feature a lot of listening, sharing of experiences, compassion, understanding, and support. Most couples find that after several meetings they feel comfortable enough to share openly.
